Hi, I’m Aino Yoga
And yes, that’s my name. I married someone named Yoga. How fitting!
I'm a Yin Yoga teacher, fascia-focused movement facilitator, tea enthusiast, and a creative partner for wellness spaces and brands.
I spent a decade running to and from China, soaking in the dynamism of the largest urbanisation happening on our planet — something fascinating for a young urban planner.
I then went to Kenya to look for that relentless energy of a place becoming something. Under the flower trees of the Swahili coast I made the quiet decision to build a life that looks like me.
If I spent my 20’s running after everything and anything modern, the physical and emotional challenges I faced in my 30’s led me to the ancient wisdom that was always underneath the cities I’d loved.
Tano is a Swahili word meaning number five.
This is a nod to the Kenyan coast, the scenery of big life decisions, as well as the home to my husband. It is also a nod to the Five Elements of Taoism, which form the basis of my Yin Yoga practice.

What I do
I bring movement to spaces where people need it most: high-achieving corporate offices, luxury retreats for people seeking deep recovery, and for heavylifters in fitness spaces.
Yet, I know how it is to move in a healthy and energetic, but also a burn-out ridden, tired body. If you are seeking for a way to get back to movement when energy is low, I’m glad you’re here.
Check out the event calendar for upcoming workshops and courses!
Yin Yoga
I teach Yin Yoga through the lens of the Five Elements, a Taoist framework that maps the body’s systems to nature’s rhythm.
Apart from the very real physical benefits of fascial hydration, improved mobility, nervous system regulation and recovery, it is also a physical manifestation of a framework that helps you to understand and balance your energy and live with your seasons.
I also offer a true Yin & Yang experiences with my husband, Joshua Yoga, in workshops that combine Afro Dance and Yin Yoga.
FasciaMethod
Developed by Finnish physiotherapists, FasciaMethod combines myofascial mobility work, targeted stretching, movement control, and ball massage to address the root causes of how your body feels.
Whether you're dealing with persistent tightness, joint discomfort, or simply a body that's been sitting too long, FasciaMethod gives you practical tools to understand and care for your own movement system.
Tea Ceremony
Tea found me in China, when coffee was not yet a trend. It accompanied me in the cold winter mornings that I spent studying Chinese characters in tea shops. Again, it found me in Kenya, the second largest tea exporter of the world.
What looked like a simple beverage turned out to carry much more philosophy, ritual and health benefits that I imagined.
I offer tea ceremony as standalone sessions, as a closing ritual for retreats and corporate wellness days, and woven into yin yoga workshops.
Social Media Marketing & UGC Content Creation
Through Tano Media, I work with wellness studios, entrepreneurs, and brands who have something real to offer and need help communicating it.
I understand this world from the inside. As a yoga teacher and movement facilitator, I know what authentic wellness content looks and feels like, and equally, what makes it fall flat. Whether you need a strategic content partner or high-quality UGC videos, you're in the right place.
